Schlabach also hinted that Auburn should have no choice but to sit Newton after the newest stuff drops.

I hope they cock ring the quart of banana juice they're about to squirt all over us at least until after the Iron Bowl. But it's like hittin' a 10, you start doing Chinese Algebra, think about driver's ed videos, but it's still gonna shoot their eye out.

i just dont think this is going to be anywhere near as big as most are expecting, or as big as the Bama guys are hoping?

i dont have a lot of knowledge of Alabama politics, but shouldnt Bama fans be worried (and really all SEC fans) if the FBI is snooping around Miss St and Auburn? I'm sure that the power players in Alabama arent exclusive to Auburn.

We need to form the TDBI

Tiger Droppings Bureau of Investigation

Lots of field agents out there bringing back pertinent info. Most have contributed to this epic thread. Obviously, Egg gets the J. Edgar Hoover role. Or, is it Elliot Ness?

I'm more of an analyst.

Ross gets honorable metion as one of the untouchables, because even though he is an Auburn fan, he's tried to be objective.

This has been an ecumenical takedown - LSU, Alabama, Miss. St., Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee fans have all contributed.

Just thinking how much fun this has been and how this has been the best investigation I've yet seen on a message board.

There actually is a certificate.

I've kept up with this thread for 2 days. My mind is reeling. Living in Montgomery, I know all these stories and people who know these people. I know people who worked at Colonial. NOT GOOD. This whole thing is going to get ugly.

I may take a stroll by the NCAA HQ with my coat collar up and wearing sunglasses and drop them a link to this thread.

And here's the story in the Sun of Cam's arrest two years ago...the first hint of the dirtball he was to become...

Florida backup quarterback Cameron Newton was arrested and charged Friday with felony counts of burglary, larceny and obstruction of justice.

Newton was suspended from the team, Florida football spokesman Steve McClain said Friday.

Newton, a sophomore, allegedly stole a laptop from a UF student worth $1,700 and threw it out of his dormitory window, according to a University of Florida police report.

UPD officers responded to the claim of a stolen laptop on Oct. 21. On Friday, a voluntary search of Newton’s dormitory revealed a laptop that matched the serial number of the victim’s laptop on Newton’s desk.

According to report, Newton asked for privacy while speaking with his attorney, Huntley Johnson. When police returned, the laptop was no longer on his desk. The computer was later located behind a garbage dumpster at the Springs Complex, a dorm where many Florida athletes live.

Not really pertinent to this thread other than background. Two years after the fact, the Aubs have painted Cam as being somewhat wrongly accused,

I have reproduced thrice and have found myself reading this thread in the middle of the night or early morning, in bed. Pathetic. Could not have summed it up better.

OK, see... I actually pictured Larry David saying that. While wearing the expression in your avi pic.

I still can't stop laughing.

Now move to this past Thursday-Saturday. I bet I could name with three guesses (the 1st two not counting) who the coaches and administration were that won the Play or Not Play Battle. My gut tell me Gus Malzahn was one of those voting "No." I bet he knows he won't be there next year.
hmmmm...Malzahn to replace Crowton?

We could only hope Chicken. I'm thinking Gus might be angling for a head coaching job. Maybe Louisville.
