He's right. Auburn was counting on that fact when they started outbidding everyone. Dubose tried that, and the SEC with the help of others, set him up for a great big fall. While others like MSU were bidding on Albert Means they were steered away while we got the green light. This looks eerily similar to those dark days at Bama.

SMU did things in a big way. They had Bill Clements, in between his governorships, running the slush funds and he was still paying players after the NCAA told them to stop because he didn't want to break the financial commitments he had made to their families. James denies he was greased but no one came out of that program clean........
