Scott free?....they have an ineligible player as their starting qb. They played him with knowledge that there may be problems with his eligibility. If this holds true...if....they lose their season.

He's eligible.

Auburn is done. Might as well just throw in the towel now.

Chizik looks like a fool right about now for his press conference.

right he would go somewhere but if nobody was paying why would cam NOT go to the school he wanted to attend? Why would his dad tell him where to go at that point?

The NCAA doesn't need clear proof. They just need to put 2+2 together. Auburn may not get hit with sanctions but this information could cause Cam Newton to lose his status as an amateur athlete.

exactly.. i don't see how Newton didn't end up at MSU.. that's his former offensive coordinator from UF. then the statements about his phone conversations only prove this.

You really shouldn't be dancing after some damning evidence about your team having this alleged meeting in Nov 2009 and not reporting it till 2010 AFTER MSU chose AU....MSU is FRICKED

This is a huge smoking gun that Pappy Newton is shady as hell, and wanted cash for Cam, but guys...there is still nothing about Auburn. All we have is A + B must mean C...but that won't be enough.

Cecil Hurt was earlier blasting the SEC offices for commenting on an ongoing investigation last night.

He said if they are going to start confirming what was or was not included in the initial reports then he plans on questioning them about everything in the report.

He said the SEC office has now set a precedent for answering questions about the details of investigations so they can't pick and chose what to discuss.

He said the SEC office is more concerned with not having anyone on probation than finding out the truth.

I would want Miss St to pay my son to play.
Same for Ole Miss, Vandy, Arkansas and Tenn.

He could play for free at LSU, Bama, Auburn, UGA or Fla.

Just saying.

Wouldnt you want money to play for MSU?

Even if NO money was paid, I believe he is on record as saying Cecil Newton was shopping around. That makes his dad an agent and makes Cam's amateur status go bye-bye.

exactly. Auburn and MSU don't look to be guilty of any wrongdoing at this point.

That doesn't mean Cam won't completely frick them if proof that he was being solicited for money comes out.

This substantiates everything MSU has claimed from the beginning, including the phone call between Cam and MSU Recruiter. There is so much smoke now AU would be foolish not to sit him until it blows over. If they don't, in my mind they are throwing in the towel and saying what the heck, if we're going down let's go down with the crystal.
