According to an article in the AJC, nothing has been done to the church. It's an empty building.
Link?

Because according to the original ESPN article the renovations to the church were completed last week and the church is now up to code. It might be empty because it was being renovated but according to ESPN major renovations were just completed this month.

If this guy is willing to go on record with his attorney present, AFTER the Feds are involved, you can bet your life this guy is telling the truth.

The only other possibility is that going to prison is his lifetime dream, so he's lying.

I think anyone with 1/2 a brain now knows that you don't lie to the FBI. Virtual lock on jail time if you do, even if you didn't do the underlying crime which they are investigating. If the FBI has questioned Rogers, I would expect that he was smart enough not to lie and not to tell a different story to the FBI than he tells to the press.

That said, so far the case hasn't been made against Auburn. That doesn't mean that Auburn's in the clear yet. We will see. I just hope that whatever happens is decided soon. The worst thing is for this to drag on, and if Newton is ineligible, for this to end up with a vacated SEC championship or possibly NC. (And if that the case, I would hope that no mercy would be shown to Auburn. That said, I would prefer that Auburn would be cleared, but there is a lot of smoke.)

Kenny admitted, with his lawyer present, that Cecil demanded 100K-180K from MSU coaches to sign Cam.

If Newton is declared ineligible, Auburn's season is screwed whether they are guilty or not.

This might be the second time in a decade Auburn goes undefeated and still no NC game.....

3rd time in 17 years.

I'd trade that for AU to be cleared in a heartbeat.

Too late for that. All Auburn had to do was not play Cam early in the season. The bed is made now.

2) There was that whole thing with Rueben Randle's dad. He basically said Benton was shady, and there was no way Rueben was coming to LSU if Benton did, also.

I think that was done to help Benton...not hurt him.

I honestly hope that nobody at AU is involved in this. It would suck for the conference, as a whole, if so...

Yep. frick Auburn for putting the SEC in the spotlight for this.
