Has Auburn always been the most self promoting fanbase?

Or is it a result of getting left out in 2004 or Alabama coming off probation in a very strong way? Auburn has a season for #2 to win the Heisman and Auburn to play for the national championship. Why rush to crown Auburn with four sec games left?

You have people with the mindset that Auburn has never won double digit games the way they talk every offseason. They act like the 80s never happened, that we weren't awesome through half of the 90s, or that our little run in the 2000s doesn't count for anything.

Auburn is like Michigan State. They are a pretty good football program that unfortunately is in the same state with a football giant an they are constantly over shadowed by the Tide.

At some point, people tire of hearing about a team that is always a bridesmaid, never a bride. You have these "good" stretches, but can't seem to bring home national titles the way Alabama, LSU, Florida and Tennessee have done in their good stretches.

It's Auburn that doesn't believe n Auburn, not everybody else. You must first believe in yourself and they don't. They don't know how to act like they hav been there before because they haven't bee is such a long time.

But USC shoulda gotten the national championship in 2003. And 2007 doesn't count because LSU lost twice!

Auburn has these solid seasons, but rarely do they capitalize on them with rings.
Only 4 outright SEC titles (1957, 1983, 1987, 2004) and 2 split ones (88,89). Plus, 1 national championship and Cam Newton would not have been allowed to play when that happened.

So typical. bammers consistently try to tie everything Auburn does back to them, then accuse Auburn of being the one doing it.
The excuse for Auburn's success back in the early 2000s was bammer's probation. ..... so what is their excuse for Auburn's success today? I guess it could still be probation since they are, in fact, on probation.
