Gerhart only had TEN more TDs and >200 yards

Again, compare MI's receiving yards and receiving TDs to TG's. Also, TG had many more carries than MI.

I thought Ingram lost it when he quit against Auburn.. I'm gonna be completely honest.

You're still my boy though, Funky.

I'm gonna go argue about Cam Newton winning the Heisman.

Gerhart was their offense, put Trent on that team and his numbers would have been slashed. People are going to laugh at this argument ten years from now. Gerhart's a nice back, but Ingram is just better.

And Stanford's running the ball pretty well again this year so its silly to act like Gerhart had no offensive line. For all the talk about Alabama's line Ingram did manage to lead the country in yards after contact.

Exactly, he was the THE workhorse for Stanford. He carried the ball less than 20 times only once all season (17 times still). He carried the rock at least 27 times in 8 separate games last year. Ingram carried it less than 20 times 7 times last year.

Ingram had the luxury of a great backup taking the load off of him. Ingram wasn't near the only reason Bama won last year, while Gerhart for Stanford clearly was their reason why they won mostly when they did. He grinded games out by himself. 4 of the 5 games Stanford lost they put up at least 27 points but allowed >31 points. Nobody scored more than 31 on Bama last year. In fact nobody scored more than 24 on Bama last year.

Bama fans are just being ignorant to the fact Ingram played for you guys and Gerhart played for a 5-loss Stanford team. That's the reason Ingram won.
