"Cam Newton Spots DB 5 Yards"

Video of Cam spotting DB 5 yards.
Cam gets tripped up, while he's stumbling. A
SC DB has a 5 yard head start, he's running full speed and has the angle on Cam. Cam easily beats him to the endzone.
That should be unthinkable for somebody who is 6'6 250.

Isn't that a linebacker?
edit: nm I looked at Auburn's roster for some reason *insert a smiley that has downs syndrome*

If only they had an award they could give to the best college football player in the land. If that existed, he would totally win it.

How does he have the angle? He was farther away from the pylon than Newton.

The roster on ESPN says it's Devonte Holloman 6'2" 228 lbs safety. Still, it's impressive, but the defender didn't look particularly fast.

Get out of here with your talented qb's, you dickheads

That DB hardly had the angle. He had a lot more ground to cover to get to the pylon than Newton did.

Cam's speed is impressive but what about that (unnecessary) leap from the 7 yard line. That's over 20 feet....just ridiculous

Not taking anything from CN but watch what Matt does to the Ole Miss DB.
Sick.
Matt Jones dunk > Ben Tate's dunk? probably.

i'm not impressed with newton...the angle he took was not that good, and he didn't look all that fast

Newton doesn't look fast because his legs are long as shite and he takes big strides.

How can you not be impressed with his play making ability? The guy trucks LB, avoids and breaks tackles in the pocket and has great intuition. I don't think he is Vince Young or anything but he is a hell of a football player. He has also brought his team back in the last two games from double digit deficits.

His play making ability is amazing....its the speed i don't think is all that amazing. the angle was off for the DB and i'm not sure how fast that safety actually is.

Great play by Newton no doubt, but that safety needs his arse chewed out. At no point on that play was he running full speed. He just assumed Newton was about to go down and quit on the play.
