that pisses me off to no end. not like they can use the excuse that they chose ULM to get a better education

What if someone chose to go to ULM because LSU didn't offer the same degree?

That's my excuse.

I rooted for Ole Miss growing up and went to probably 50 games, but decided to go to Alabama when it cam time for college. It took all of 5 minutes at Legion Field for me to become a Tide fan.

at least your one of the few Bama "fans" that actually went to school there. for that, you get a pass on the initial Old Miss fanhood.

I got a better deal from Alabama scholly-wise.

I have done summer school at Ole Miss before and enjoyed it. Sardis rules in the summer. I would much rather be in Tuscaloosa for the fall and spring, but summer at Ole Miss is nice.

I think you can only comment on this if your have GRADUATED from an SEC school. My question is what do you do if you have graduated from one SEC school and now you go to another. Do you root for the first school or do you join the popular bank wagon and root for the new team. You pick a school for the education and the opportunities you will receive at the university level because 99% of the people at the university will never see the field. I pull for all SEC teams and everyone else should unless they are playing your particular team. THE SEC IS #1 PROGRAM IN THE COUNTRY.

When they go to a different school? Whether it's a Bama fan at State or an LSU fan at OM I don't get this. It seems like you're eliminating a giant part of the college experience so you can root for your childhood team on TV.

I agree with you NIH. That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard. When I was at Ole Miss, I did not know one person who wasn't an Ole Miss fan. Is this a new phenomenon or something? I cannot fathom rooting for another school you don't / didn't attend.

I lost my scholly at Bama and my Dad made me go to Ole Miss for a semester and a summer. They hated me in Oxford.

i don't have the conundrum of having gone to a different SEC school for grad school. workforce FTW!

i'm in an easy situation because I grew up pulling for LSU, my dad and both uncles graduated from there and I went there for undergrad and got my LSU degree hanging on the wall.

That's completely different. You went to Bama but went elsewhere due to circumstance. But I cannot understand someone starting as an undergraduate at one SEC school and rooting for another. That's just absurd.

Because cfb is not an extracurricular activity for the students like it used to be. It is a very marketable business and the only thing that rivals NFL football. AS LONG AS IT IS A BUSINESS PEOPLE WILL BE FANS THAT NEVER WENT TO THE UNIV OR EVEN LIVED IN THE STATE. Sorry hit the caps lock on accident.
