Will it be stronger? I think it will be stronger than the East next year sans UK...

We will have Renardo Sidney which will help out a lot.

I disagree UT, UK, and UF and probably Vandy will all be better than any Western team next year. Georgia will be better next year. But yes, USC will probably be the 11 best team right in front of LSU
UT Line Up
1. Goins (Three Star)/ Golden (Four Star)
2. Tatum (Four Star)/ McCrae (Four Star) / McBee
3. Hopson(Five Star)/Woolridge (Four Star)
4. Tobias Harris (Five Star)/ Jerone Maymon (Four Star)/ Steven Pearl
5. Brian Williams (Three Star)/ Kenny Hall (Four Star)
Also, rumors are picking up steam every day that Josh Selby will recommit with UT.
Worth noting that our 2011 class already has two top 30 players
4 star Chris Jones out of Memphis
5 star Kevin Ware out of Georgia

Uh no. The SEC west is a joke. No committment to basketball from any of those schools except MSU.

I would say Alabama and Auburn have put plenty of commitment to basketball lately. Alabama is paying Grant nearly 2 mil a year, and will upgrade the arena and practice facility. Auburn built a new arena all together.

East should still be better than the West next year, but I really the entire conference will be better overall next year.

That would make him the most over paid college basketball coach in America.
Its a shame a guy like Grant who has done nothing is making double what a guy like Kevin Stallings is making.

Because of the amount of money the football program kicks back to the athletics department, and University as a whole, UA can afford to snatch up a highly regarded young coach like Grant. Not to mention the big money boosters, who are more basketball fans than football fans (they do exist).

Actually in today's world, that just makes Kevin Stallings the most underpaid coach in America.

Dude, he is Kansas bound.
Knight, Leslie about to commit to UK.
Word is Katner is about to announce.

Wait and see, that rumor started on Kansas' Rivals board. Pearl had a visit with Selby this week, and the next day he came out and said his recruitment is over. Kansas rivals guy and Brent Hubbs have confirmed through speaking with Selby that there is renewed interest from both parties.
Pearl has never visited with a recruit outside of Selby the week before an away game.

UT Rivals Homer? And I thought Howie of Louisville is bad.
I would wait to see what Jerry Meyer has to say.
Oh, and

I like that a thread titled "SEC WEST Basketball..." has turned into a bitch-slap fest between a UK and UT fan...

You're right...I let WildcatMike get the best of me. Outside of Wildcat and Kige I'm done responding University of Memphis - Lexington campus fans.

Anyway... I expect the SEC West to be much improved next season. MSU and Arkansas have a lot of young players that will continue to improve, and I look for Alabama to make some real strides in Grant's second year. If they can get some consistent guard play, they'll be a threat with Green, Knox, Hines, Mitchell, and Jemison down low. However, the East will still be the better division next season.

I think making it to the NIT would be a successful year for us. We've got a good 4* freshman Point Guard coming in and he better be good cause he's gonna be playing. I like our two recruits but there's only 2 at the moment, we need a good big man. We, along with Arkansas, are heavily recruiting the best JC big man in the country, Ricardo Ratliffe, we need him desperately.
Again 8-8 in conference, NIT bid would be a solid year I think just looking at the roster.
LSU has a good class and can't possibly be worse. Arkansas should be pretty good. I don't really know all who Ole Miss and MSU are bringing back, Auburn I doubt we'll be very good.
