with Carroll out.

With Pete Carroll apparently on the verge of taking the Seattle Seahawks’ head coaching job, many Tennessee fans are already filling up their blogs and Bleacher Report with worries that USC might come calling on Lane Kiffin.

Then Meyer wouldn't be so scared and he can come back without having chest pains.

I don't think USC fans care much for Lame.

They refer to him as goat boy.

I'm pretty sure everyone at USC was glad when he left. What a joke.

FWIW, I think former Alabama player and current coach at Oregon State, Mike Riley, gets a call. He would be a good hire, but USC might run into the problems we did when we were under the NCAA's watchful eye.

exactly my thoughts. If the NCAA is coming down, Riley would be a fool to go. He didn't come here when we got Shula for that reason alone I believe. I think he says no at this particular time. I could be wrong though.

I don't want him to leave (unless he actually does turn Tennessee around).

Just curious, but why is everyone so convinced that USC is about to get hammered? Because of the basketball stuff and Carroll suddenly leaving? Or is there any kind of objective evidence that this glorious day of justice may actually happen?

Who is the USC equivalent of Mike Shula?

Because IF the NCAA hammer is coming down, that is all they will be able to get.

I think it's gonna be a bit if they come down. I think there will be lengthy investigations into the McKnight deal, and either McKnight or the University lied, because they had conflicting stories about the vehicle and filed paperwork. I think something will come of that.

I'm not sure to be honest. I dunno what USC alum is out coaching right now. Wonder if they'd give YAW YAW a shot at it?

Actually he wanted a West Coast job. His wife is a West Coaster, and wanted no part of the South.

Don't personally know one U$C fan that cares a bit for Kiffin.

Riley told Mal that he was coming and then his wife killed the deal. She loves the westcoast and didn't want to leave even though she is from Bham.

All SC fans that I know, which is a lot, think Kiffin is trash and are embarrassed that he coached for them and that his name is often associated with SC. Speaks to what kind of a person Kiffin is..
