Who was the biggest waste of talent and biggest bust on your team during the 2000's?
Waste - Tray Blackmon. Dude could have been an AA but was a frick up with like 63 kids.
Bust - Leon Hart. Number 1 rated OL coming out of high school and ended up being a big pussy who didn't like to hit people

Biggest waste of talent? In a literal sense:
Darren Mcfadden and Felix Jones.
Neither one ever won a bowl game.

yea....because every athlete's dream stops at winning a bowl game. No one dreams about playing in the NFL.

I can't remember the waste or busts because they were wastes of talent and busts

Demetris Summers was 1-2 in terms of backs with Reggie Bush in that recruiting year. Most of you probably have no idea who the frick Demetris Summers is so I'll rest my case.

Waste: Derrick Odom - he'd probably be our best LB right now if he stayed away from the Varsity one night.
Bust: Justin Vincent- good freshman year, disappeared the rest of his career.

Waste: Brent Shaffer. Would have been a beast of a mobile QB with anyone other than Orgeron at HC.

Man, that's pretty harsh. Didn't y'all lose like 13 in a row or something? Having a QB like Dick didn't help

I thank Summers for bringing Kenny Irons to Auburn.

Gets my vote.
Honorable mention:
Keiland Williams: huge waste of talent
Russel Shepard had a sterling 1st year in the wasted talent category.

Le'Ron McClain was wasted by Shula. McClain is a two time NFL Pro Bowler, and had less than twenty career carries at Alabama. Damn that jumbo package.

Waste-Maurice Clarett
Bust-Probably Mike D'Andrea. He was supposed to be the star LB of the 02 class, not some 3* named AJ Hawk. I can't blame D'Andrea, though. Injuries did him in, wasn't a lack of effort/bad decisions.

He was AMAZING as a true freshman. He would have been a hall of famer IMO.

At that point it's not even fun.
