As a Bama Fan, is it wrong to not like Rammer Jammer?

Just wondering. After UT and LSU, I listened and watched on TV as the crowd sang it. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't offend me, and I'd love nothing more to sing it after beating the hell out of UT or AU or LSU....but shouldn't it be reserved for actually beating the hell out of someone? It just felt wrong on those two occasions.

"Oh, and since it seems to come up on every thread. The PP7 play was an interception."

all in all, it is a song that celebrates a victory. That is about it.

Winning by 9 and Bama was down going into the 4th(?) doesn't seem like a big arse kicking.

i think we should do it for every win unless we're playing one of the service academies..

It's actually a fricking disgrace when we barely beat a below average UT team with two blocked field goals and have the audacity to sing "we just beat the hell out of you" - My beef isn't with the song so much as it is the use of it. I understand it is being sang because of the win, but damn.

i have no problem with it - i think it's dumb sometimes due to the context in which it's used but it's tradition

Sir, your logic does not bode well with most Bammers.

Um we DID beat the hell out of that LSU team. I have never seen more players get beat up in a game before. LSU had nothing left in the 4th. Nothing. And a bad call doesn't change that fact.

They had a chance to win the game

But yeah, our team was physically trashed after that game. I think we had 8 starters out for a while there.

Don't be 'that' guy. It's a tradition and you're more than welcome to hold your tongue after victories.

It is the stupidest cheer ever, but I'm not a Bama fan.

It would be nice if your superteam could score a fricking touchdown now and then. Can't wait for you to embarrass the SEC with another post-season no show.
