I would like to know what is an acceptable amount of losses for the season. Not how many you think will happen, but how many would it take to consider the season a bad one.

I think 9-3 would be fairly reasonable, I'd be a little disappointed with this but I think with a revamped offensive line it would be acceptable. I think Alabama goes 10-2 though.

BAMA will lose AT LEAST 3 games this year. They will probably make a run for the Peach bowl or Outback possibly. This would be a good season for them (the team) but a disappointing one for the fanbase.

4 losses = failure under normal circumstances, IMO. Of course, if we lose some key players to injury or suspension, etc... or something else out of the ordinary happens, then I'll adjust those expectations, but going 9-3 in the regular season isn't asking too much.

IMO, I don't care about Ws and Ls as long as we get to the SECC. I would be disappointed in the record, but all I want is a chance to make Tebow walk out of the dome crying.

HERE HERE!

ME TOO. i want another crack at Florida after last year's performance. Saban had them where he wanted them. he forced Tebow to throw, and he had to complete ALL of this passes to make that game winnable. 7/7 in the 4th quarter. (yes i'm stealing these statements from the radio from a few days ago).

college football used to be any loss for a top tier team, one at the most. but these days of 2 loss championship bids id say 3 or more is failure in my book. any loss to a conference division opponent is failure in my book.

Saban still has a free pass til next year. That's when our "predicted" break out year will be.

With a team mostly comprised of Saban's players, a 2 loss season will be total failure in the eyes of Bama fans

With that cupcake schedule, I'd say 2 losses= fail, in most bammers eyes.

Its a sliding scale...if we play the entire year with no significant injuries, then a 3 loss regular season will be the entry point of disappointment.

I started the thread to discuss the # of losses that were acceptable (assuming no major injuries). It is not supposed to be how many are expected, but how many losses = a poor season.

depends on the team and situation .....you have a lot of factors in the equation. you cant just plug a number in for every team

4 losses would be totally unacceptable and not because of some "were Alabama" bs but simply because we are loaded with talent, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

Loaded now. 2 games into the season and y'all could be hurtin' for players in any given area, LB, secondary, D line, QB.
Sometime the locusts come in and eat everything.

The only two people on defense that are irreplaceable are Javy(due to his special team skills and leadership) and Ro(cuz face it...homeboy is a beast and no one after him is ready to take on the roll that he fills)

But back on topic...4 losses=failed season
