Alot of people have misunderstood me in my opinion of Urban Meyer. I bring this up due to a couple radio shows I've heard the last couple days that include Mike Ditka.

I do not know if Meyer is a good recruiter, developer of talent, motivator, or father figure to kids that need that at times. Based on his results I'm going to assume he is. He has represented the SEC very well on the big stage so far, except for 05 and 07, which are half his years at Florida.

All I know is if he doesn't figure out how to win using the QB under center at least some times, he won't last there when Tim Tebow is gone I don't think. He's not a very good in-game ,close game coach. He's been lucky alot in those situations with Tebow. But, I think the East power swings to GA, TN, and his yearly LSU game (western built in loss) when Tebow is gone. And Saban will slaughter him in a year or 2.

Once Tebow is gone, Urban will have to have a power running back. Tebow brings another dimension to the table with his power and speed. When Brantly takes over, defenses wont have that powerful running qb to worry about. He is a better passer and has a good 40 time but he doesnt have the power and will that Tebow has.

I dont think he will have to line up under center unless it is a short yardage situation. Saying all of that, UF will still be a tough team to beat but Tebow is the heart of that program right now.

Let's take a magical trip back to 2006 for a second here. Way back then, there was this guy named Chris Leak who played quarterback for the University of Florida. As you may recall, his team won a national championship. He was a drop-back passer who operated more from under center than from shotgun. But please, continue spouting off about Urban Meyer not knowing how to win from under center.

Once Tebow is gone they will just plug some other 5 star QB in there.

Gator fan, Tebow also played a valueable role on that team in critical situations. The Lsu poster said it pretty well about QB running and toughness.

FL plays GA, TN, and LSU every year. I think in a couple years they don't win many of those games. Monte Kiffen, the Chief Chavis, any Bama match ups, they will rip the poor sap Meyer to shreds.

You're a hilarious parody of a real person. Seriously look at this kid.

LINK

Look more than capable of stepping in next year and leading a Florida program that will still be pretty damn well loaded.

While I do expect good things from Reed, I don't expect him to play much while Brantley is there. Brantley is the real deal and he'd be starting pretty much anywhere else in the country this season.

Seriously could you post some credentials.
Are you a highschool, college, or peewee coach?

Have you had Offensive and Defensive theory of coaching, or Coaching Methods?

Did you create a playbook used in the NFL where all Hootie's players are going?

Do you understand how to properly formulate a play that won't get you laughed at? If so did you get it from the OM playbook on NCAA 2010?

So you are saying that Chris Leak would have a NC ring without Tim Tebow and the "jump pass" that was debuted against LSU? Tebow won the game on that play...

Tebow also played a pivotal role in beating Tennessee that year, too.

I think it's pretty well documented that Meyer has the ability to adapt an offense to skill set of his players. Any team in the country would like to have him as their head coach, if they had an opening. And on top of the two NC he runs from all I can tell a solid program as far as non-football things go. Tebow is not all Florida has.

Why do people always only talk about Meyer and the offense "after Tebow leaves"? How come no one ever gives Meyer credit for the badass defensive talent he's stockpiling?

Meyer could potentially win another title based on defense alone in the next few years regardless of how well his offense runs after Tebow.

If he lands Luc, he'll have a SCARY linebacking trio of Jeff Luc, Jelani Jenkins and Jon Bostic that no team will want to face for years to come.

Well frick me running! I guess I'll just cancel my booster membership and season tickets once Touchdown Timmy Tebow departs Gainesville. Maybe I can rangle me some of them Ole Miss season tickets and watch the Big Nutter show us how to do it.
