When did this thread turn into eHarmony?

Coach Miles had some problems last year and he used this off-season to correct them. However he has a great foundation for a 'damn strong' program. His recruiting has always been superb, his character, leadership and integrity is beyond reproach. It would be hard for players not to play for this man. He does not come across as a lax diciplinarian, yet he also isn't a dictator. So I have been very pleased with Coach Miles and for the record...
Coach Miles has NOT had a losing record here at LSU.

I think they meant 3-5 in the SEC. Losing year in the conference.

Even with another losing year, Les will still have time...He's maintained, if not elevated LSU marketing..He's given LSU more buzz then Saban did...ESPN actually likes Miles, which is great for recruiting..He's not an X's and O's coach, but he'll go out and hire people who are if these new coaches can't make it work...and in the meantime he'll continue his top 5 recruiting...People like integrity, that's what miles sales..
And you think all that will keep up with another five loss season?

It won't happen so it's irrelevant. He's got a damn strong football team both for this year and 2010.

Bama fans, Arkansas fans, it's wishful thinking on your part to think that the man can't coach. Wishing won't make it happen. If we had Ryan Perrilloux last season it would be a different story, but hey, at least Miles has some integrity.
Enjoy last year. It may be a while till either of you get back to beating us.

If you guys want to call losing to Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Ole miss, and Arkansa, but beating App. St, North Texas, Miss St, South Carolina, Tulane, Troy in the regular season, something other then a losing season I'm cool with that, but for me, I don't care about cupcake team wins to make the record sound better.

You totally should not bring up the Troy game. hahahah
Leslie had to pull a rabbit out of his hat to win that one, and if he hadn't.... your AD would have ALREADY been looking for a replacement.

Cool guy. I got to golf with him at RTJGT. Friggin' love watching the games! Love the trick plays! The fans are, of course, the worst in the SEC.

First season... none of his players... completely different.
Admit it ... or lose all credibility on this board.

Career highlights
Overall 70–31 (.693)
Bowls 5–2 4-0 at LSU
Championships
1 National Championship (2007)
1 SEC Championships (2007)
2 SEC Western Division Championships (2005,2007)
Undefeated in OOC games at LSU
Coaching career (HC unless noted)
1980-1981 Michigan (GA)
1982-1986 Colorado (OL

1995-1997 Oklahoma State (OC)
1998-2000 Dallas Cowboys (TE)
2001-2004 Oklahoma State
2005-present LSU
42 victories and three seasons of at least 11 victories and that makes for the best four-year stretch of football in school history.
The 2007 Tigers also set the school record for wins over top 25 teams (7), won the SEC Championship with a backup quarterback and were ranked No. 1 in the BCS Standings during the regular season for the first time in school history.
The Tigers finished their second year under the direction of Miles ranked No. 3 in the nation, marking the first time since the 1958-59 seasons that LSU was ranked in the top five in the country in back-to-back years.
Miles became the only coach in his first year in the SEC to lead his squad to the league's title game. He also became the first coach in LSU history to beat Alabama, Auburn and Florida in the same season.
Sounds like a pretty damn good coach to me and I ain't even gotten into recruiting.

Supreme recruiter
Ballsy play caller
Great personality and class
fricked up last year but is making up for it
I hope he sticks around because I like him in our conference.
