We travel to your house next week. Right now we are both tied:
Both 10-8 in conf, 5 way tie for 4th
Both 27-12 overall.
Big series because of the bottleneck. I see you have some great pitching, why not more wins?

Solid use of a timeless gif

Hitting- particularly with runners on base- has disappeared completely in multiple games.

We've also played the toughest schedule in the country so even when we play well, wins are a grind to come by.
Schedule doesn't get any easier after OU series either. We play:
3x @ Texas AM (RPI #8)
@ UAB (RPI #33)
3x @ Miss St (RPI #18)
@ Jacksonville St (RPI #30)
3x UGA at home (RPI #20)
Winning the OU series will be crucial if we want to host a regional.

Because their big brother did big brother things to them.
They are 0-6 against big brother this academic year in the big 3 men’s sports. That stings.

We still have Aub/FL/Ark/Ten
We have thrown away 3 conf games with our pen. Like today we won but our pitcher threw 5.1, 1 hit, 8 K’s and 0 walks. Out to an 8-0 lead. Then have to sweat as our pen slowly lets them creep back. Won 8-4 but thats the kind of games we’ve lost. Another thing we’ve done is give up so many runs in first 2 innings then have to claw back. Hard to get both working same time.
If we can get out with a win that would be a good take. Both if us are on the cusp of hosting or sliding to 2. Gonna be a crazy end of conf play with so much parity this year.

It’s the hitting. When it’s on it is on but it’s not been timely at all.
It was expected to be the strength of this roster so that got turned on its head. Our pitching allows us to hang with anyone though.
As of now I expect us to take the series at home.

We have had some serious issues injuries but have put a great season together. We arent deep so if our starters struggle, we arent very good at the backups.

This is not true. Our issue was a hitting slump by those who hit that left tens of runners on base. Depth has not been an issue. Hell, we beat Florida with a 4th string catcher and random people on the outfield.

I dunno I actually really like the lineup. All we need is for Steele and Belyeu to get back to the standard of play they gave us last year and this offense goes from serviceable to freaking good.
Question we take away from the weekend is what to do with Mason McCraine. He’s got too much power to be a lineup squeeze going forward.

Saw this from a baseball pundit. His header shows:

Nothing quite like a gorgeous bunt putting all kinds of pressure on the defense.

It is hard to believe... but depending on how the weekend goes. A team in that 10-8 log jam could end up tied for first in the conference... or end up in 13th place after next weekend.
