None of this should have ever happened. First off, what kind of loser do you have to be to be a 52 year old man getting shite-faced drunk, being a visitor, and deciding to sit in the home student section full of drunk college kids? The kids shouldn't have thrown beer at him, but seriously, what else would you expect?
Ole Miss should have been a bit more diligent in not allowing a 52 year old visitor to sit in the student section. Nobody looks good. And, Lane shouldn't be playing into this kind of horseshite. Sept 19 is already going to be nuts. We don't need one of the coaches stoking the fires as well.

Honestly he should have gotten his arse beaten the when he put his hands on the first students neck.
Student section should have done better. But security should have removed him immediately.

He should have known better than to be there.

Agreed. Problem is Capt T Shirt Fan showed up to start some bull shite because his team got swept and got to spend the night in a cell because his world revolves around a college team which lost. Tragic that a grown man has no self control. It’s expected from college students but at some point adults should grow up.
The fact that people are on here applauding assault of some dumb arse drunk college kid in right field student section is incredibly moronic

Except he didn’t spend the night in jail. He spent 2 hours there and had his drunk topped back off by 7pm that night.

How do you know that this scholar isn't an Ole Miss student who's fandom for LSU runs deep? Plenty of baws go back to college to advance their careers.
But in general, all of your points are correct. Shouldn't have been there, shouldn't be beligerant and fighting, shouldn't have had beer thrown at him, and Lane shouldn't stoke this particular fire.
