He posted on social media that the coaches were bitches. Which seems to be the attitude of a majority of the players based on so many missing time for disciplinary actions. Steven probably wanted to draw lines in the sand that Bruce didn’t. Likely cause he is a young first time head coach that is in above his head, He doesn’t have the wisdom needed to deal with these kids like his dad did. Also in the NIL age being a complete hard arse is not gonna fly. Steven wanting to prove a point cost us a trip to the NCAA this year. It may bite us in the portal and recruiting.

Whoever drops the bag gets the player. Especially in basketball over all the other sports.

Steven has the support of the money people to build a roster. So let’s see what he does with it.

Gonna be a tough putt. SP is gonna have to convince the money guys to pay the suck tax. Unless he finds some gems on the Euro circuit or something. I’m pulling for it to work out, but I can’t see Pettiford or Magwood, or even Overton staying so he’s likely to able starting over. And we need big men something fierce.

I hope you're right because we're going to have to pay a little extra with an unproven coach

I feel like that's the second time I've heard the "good grades" comment being thrown out for Magwood getting to play. I'm starting to wonder if on top of his lackluster defense and social media commentary, he was having some academic issues?

It’s not just basketball but basketball is the worst in whoever has the bag gets the player.

Location and proximity doesn’t seem to affect basketball players like it does football and baseball players. I think softball girls are like basketball players as well. Granted it ain’t so much the bag for them just more where they want to go.

This whole suck tax is way over blown. We weren’t good but we were way way away from sucking. Yes Steven is inexperienced but has a year under his belt and probably learned more this season about being a head coach as he will the next 5-7 years.

I agree. Sorry to go OT but with basketball season about over, is it time to start a random topic thread? Reading you alls posts helps me get my Auburn fix during the off-season and it's getting a little dry until fall. Plus some of you are pretty funny every now and then (not often)

Well as bad as we were against stiff competition towards the end of the season we would have beaten SMU by 30. No idea how they got in and Miami Oh sux as well. The Tourny is top heavy this year. Texas sucks as well. OU and AU are better than all those teams.

Inexperienced head coach.... A few game suspension, yes... If it was for the season, just kick him off.
