I don’t have a strong opinion on him either way, but that’s a Kiss of Death for that young man.

ESPN mock draft

My prediction is he's going to be an average NFL QB. Not great, not terrible.

And honestly, there aren't a lot of those, so he'll make a lot of money.

Has kiper been right about anything in a decade?

Tannehill vibe. Well above average IQ. Solid arm.

But not a game changer.

Then again, you could make a similar argument about Brady or Montana. Aikman and Elway had more "wow factor" physicals, but Brady and Montana each have more rings.

(Well, maybe saying Montana was a "brain" is overstating it, but he knew how to run the system and keep his cool.)

I think he'll be about what Trevor Lawrence has been, maybe.

If a team with pieces in place and offensive friendly coach drafts him, I could see him having early success. His arm is just average but he has good football IQ.

If he's drafted by the Raiders, well.

I think his main drawback is that he is a nerd. I think he can do everything you need but you will need others to be the locker room leader, rah rah guys.

He's really passionate though. Don't think he will lack rah rah.

Still puzzled on how Mel has a job. To be that bad at your job and still do what he does for that long is scary.

you don't understand his job. he's an entertainer. there is a thread here bc he's entertaining someone. he's creating clicks for a platform that doesn't even pay him. he must be pretty effective.

My guess is he will be really good, average, or really bad.

Kurt Couisins 2.0. In the right system he will excel but will need franchise players around him.

Agreed. Mel should be working in DC not the private sector. Made a career out of failing up.

If the wrong guy tries to be the rah rah guy it comes off as cringe and he loses the lockerroom.
