What’s going on with the league this year? It’s early for sure but, top teams are losing to very bad or mediocre teams. Arkansas to Stetson, Tenner to Wright State, LSU to McNeese State, Sac State, Northeastern School of the Blind.

Is it NIL? Even with midweek games, our conference should’t be losing to them. I’m sure they are throwing their number 4-6 pitchers so they can focus on winning their conference weekend games, so what gives?

Coaches are tinkering with their lineups and rotations just like they do at this time each year.

Our team is young and doesn't know how to hit

True, but still. LSU’s number 4 player depth wise, is better than Sac state or Northeastern’s top player. Yall should never give up double digit runs to those type of teams

Well lsu didn’t give up double digit runs against Sacramento St. both those teams won their conference last year. Northeastern was 48-9 and a top 20 team. One of their players was an All American last year

Nonetheless, losses like those happen around the SEC every year. Baseball is a weird sport like that. They’re not ideal but also not unusual

Can tell the game of baseball is foreign to you. There is a reason they play so many games.

Maybe those small teams can buy 1 pitcher and use them vs SEC to get press which might get them sponsors to buy 2 pitchers next year

It’s not foreign. I understand teams lose to good teams, but the Top echelon of teams are getting their asses kicked by absolute garbage teams. I mean McNeese state? Not a single LSU fans before the season would have circled that on the schedule or have said…oh great team, we might lose that one, we need to play our best baseball.

Losing games is one thing. Stetson I understand. But some of these games are against really terrible teams that are playing their 4th or 5th best players to save them for their confernece games.

Huh, weird. Is there a reason Texas is 15-0 while LSU is losing a series in BR to 3-9 Sacramento State?

Sacramento State and Northeastern? LSU lost to both of them?

Baseball is a sport of streaks. It typically requires multiple players to have good at bats to score a single run (homers not withstanding). If you have several players having a bad game, you're probably going to lose. That doesn't mean you suck, it just means that it didn't come together that game. Just like in a double-header, you can lose the first game 3-2 and then win the second one 14-0.

Sacramento state was 3-10 and spanked LSU. They’re now shutting them out tonight. I guess streaks are real, but I would be embarrassed. I get losing to teams like Baylor, Stetson, or a Houston. It would be worse than losing to a Jackson State, or Spellman.

Stay focused on current events. No more pay for play players like Skenes on the field, so you’re back to mediocre

No, LSU looks shitty and they should be scared. But they have enough talent and enough time to still be a top team by tourney time.

You realize conference play hasn’t started, right?
