The banner hangers and pressure washers in Lee County have gone bankrupt over the last few years.

Mediocre results for a mediocre institution. Checks out. But hey, they’ve gotten to complain about the refs and clutch their pearls a lot, so they are happy.

but Nate Oates playing the kid who brought the murder weapon to the scene and bama fans defending him as a dindu isnt a bridge too far? Those mf cant be ridiculed enough for their lack of morality and win at all costs mentality.

The last two men to coach an Auburn football game:

quote:

- At Ole Miss (2012–2017), Freeze resigned amid major NCAA violations in recruiting, leading to program penalties (scholarship reductions, vacated wins). Investigations also revealed a "pattern of personal misconduct," including documented calls from university phones to an escort service (surfaced in a 2017 lawsuit context involving former coach Houston Nutt).

-Chelsea Andrews, a former Liberty University student and sexual assault survivor, was one of the plaintiffs in a 2021 Title IX lawsuit against Liberty. The suit alleged the university mishandled sexual assault claims. The case partially settled in May 2022. Andrews was vocal on Twitter criticizing Liberty's leadership, particularly the hiring of athletics director Ian McCaw (who had resigned from Baylor amid its own sexual assault scandal in 2016).

Freeze, who had been hired by McCaw at Liberty in 2018 (Freeze was not at Liberty during Andrews' assault), sent her multiple unsolicited DMs defending McCaw. Reports (including from *Inside Higher Ed*, *Sports Illustrated*, and *AL.com*) indicate:

- Freeze sent at least three verified DMs over several months, including during the active lawsuit and after its settlement.
- In one message, he told Andrews she "don’t even know Ian McCaw" and described McCaw as a "Jesus-like leader." Andrews publicly questioned the contact on Twitter, noting the messages came unprompted (she hadn't tagged Freeze), at odd hours (e.g., near midnight), and despite her not responding to prior ones. She stated it felt "intimidating" and asked him to stop direct contact.

- Earlier allegations from his high school coaching days at Briarcrest Christian involved claims of inappropriate behavior toward students (reported in 2017, though not leading to formal charges).

- As Maryland head coach (2016–2018), he was fired following a scandal involving player abuse and a toxic culture. Key events included the 2018 death of offensive lineman Jordan McNair from heatstroke-related causes during a workout; investigations revealed bullying, humiliation, and verbal/physical mistreatment by staff (including strength coaches under Durkin's watch). An independent report cited a "failure of leadership" and "dysfunctional" environment, though Durkin was not directly implicated in the death—he was reinstated briefly before being let go amid backlash.

At least we won’t be melting over being left out of the NCAA tourney.

Auburn has had more losing football seasons than Arkansas since COVID and we are viewed as the least successful team of the last decade.

Make of that what you will.
