I know the schedule, outside of Arkansas, has been soft since Bediako was declared ineligible. Really soft.
But I think they look better without him. Bediako and Sherrell on the floor together didn’t work imo.

No. You don’t get better by playing worse players.

Now, you’re correct in Aiden and Charles on the floor together wasn’t working. Oats was doing that for a couple of reasons.

1. We were playing teams with a lot of size and he was matching them.

2. In theory, because Aiden can shoot, it shouldn’t effect spacing that much

But it did. Aiden and Charles together seemed to clog the middle and mess up the ball movement. It was also a small sample size and maybe something that could’ve worked in small doses.

If by some miracle we get Charles back then our ceiling goes up a good bit because we actually have a good 5 outside of Aiden if he is tired or in foul trouble.

Ask yourself this question and you will have your answer: Who would you rather have coming off the bench to spell Sherrell, Charles Bediako or Noah Williamson?

Exactly. We have played the weaker part of our schedule, it isn't like we just beat Florida and we needed the game of the year to get past Arkansas at home.

It couldn't be put more simply.

Its the mentality of the team. When our guys play hard both ways this is an elite 8 team.

They shut state down in the first half. Nearly Every shot they made was a hard shot.

The minutes Williamson is giving us off the bench are inferior in production to the minutes Bediako gave us off the bench.

I did not like the two center lineup. Sherrell moves well for a center but he's a bit slow when asked to be out on the wing v. a power forward. Similar problem with Chuck. Once that lineup was thrown in the trash can by the staff, the Bediako addition started to pay dividends. He's an A+ backup college center. He's C grade starting center/forward.

I never thought the goal was starting him but perhaps the injuries to TBB and Jemison right when he arrived led to it out of necessity. I felt it was obvious the goal was to allow Sherrell and Bediako be aggressive rim defenders at 5. When that started happening, things looked MUCH better.
