Is LSU Ready to Pay Another Buyout?

McMahon’s buyout is $8 million. Does the LSU administration care enough about basketball to write another check?
For all the bluster from LSU fans about money being no object, LSU has paid $77 million in buyouts the past 5 years. McMahon would make it $85 million.

Not coming out of your pocket, why should you care? Mind your own business.

Here's a thought ... lets see what Lane Kiffin actually does, Year One, at LSU.
Its a nutty concept, sure. But that's where I'm at with it. Maybe he's good ? Maybe he takes corn-dog to a new level ?
All this conjecture though ? Get a hobby.
What the frick are you babbling about you stupid fricking hillbilly?

People complain when there aren’t serious discussions. People complain when there are serious discussions.
LSU fans are not happy with McMahon. Are they?

I think its moreso that no one believes that you would start a serious thread about LSU. But, if you want the real answer, I will repeat what I heard on Locked on LSU podcast. Apparently some of the boosters have said that they aren't just gonna jump to put up more money after what we just spent on football. That is unless the name is Will Wade, then there would be more interest.

Just assumed ... seeing the script A ... that a Bammer was bitching about Lane Kiffin. My mistake.
And frick you.

They only had enough for this one run with Kiffin.
Louisiana would fit well in central Africa.

I mean kind of easy to make “good” hires when you’re Kentucky with extremely low expectations isn’t it?

I couldn’t give a rat’s arse about basketball. Im happy we field a team just to collect the tv rights check and spend the money on real sports.

LSU has paid $77 million in buyouts
That’s enough to pay their whole roster for *checks notes* almost 2 full seasons

I actually am interested whether LSU is willing to spend money on men’s basketball now or just wait.
While it seems all the cool LSU fans are saying basketball doesn’t matter, LSU has produced Shaquille Oneal, Chris Jackson and Pete Maravich. It seems wrong to just place a mausoleum over the program.
I could have started a thread about Louisiana’s wetlands shrinking because of the increased salinity caused by LSU tiger fan’s tears flowing towards the Gulf of America. But I didn’t.

That's roughly 3.5 of the current Mark Pope Roster that's still kind of on the Bracket Bubble.
