Texas fields a team in 21 NCAA sports; Texas has won a National Championship in 15 of them.

Men's Swimming has won 16 National Championships, and Women's Swimming has won 7 National Championships:

Seriously…..you have a swimming team? If we have a swimming team I’ve not seen it. We have a detention pond for excessive runoff. Not sure we have a pool. Is that stuff a real sport?

There's no shame in working hard and doing the best you can with what you have. Keep on keeping on. One day your state university may sum up the gumption to try a new sport, maybe.

As of the 2024-25 academic year, the University of Texas has won 68 NCAA-sanctioned national championships, including 64 NCAA team titles and 4 AIAW (Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women) titles.
