LSU and South Carolina are at the bottom this is old news. Oklahoma got a big win to move to three wins! Good on ya Okies!
But the big thing to watch in the final five games is the Ole Miss Factor
Chris Beard was a hot coaching prospect who came to Ole Miss and got them to the Sweet 16 in year 2. Everything was pointing up! Then this season happened and now everything is pointing down. Way down. And after losing to Oklahoma they are in threat of losing tie breakers and claiming the crown of the SEC worst team.
I highlight Ole Miss in this weeks novel because after hosting Florida in what is expected to be a blood bath (just jinxed you gators) they HOST LSU next Wednesday. And they host host South Carolina in the final game of the season.
In this upcoming game LSU will be off hosting Alabama who just went to 2 OTs and have been playing a bit up and down, though the Tide will be favored LSU could steal a big upset here.
South Carolina with a great opportunity to get the third win against State before hosting a wounded animal Kentucky who is sick of being called a bubble team.
Okie with a great opportunity for a fourth win in hosting flailing Texas A&M and then a rapidly falling Auburn though the Barners have lost all margin for error and could be out for blood in the final five games.
So the bottom quarter of the bracket shows four teams with only 2 or 3 wins and plenty of opportunity for them to collect wins against each other. It's the final 50 ft of free fall before basketball season is over for these teams.

Yeah, I'm not as high on Beard as I was last year, what a disaster this season became

If we're last, do we get first pick in the draft?

We're going to be bottom. LSU is already +3 wins better from non-conference. Winnable conference games look to be @ Ole Miss and vs. Oklahoma.
Let's assume they split those.
We do not have much chance as winning any of the remainder of our games. But if LSU split we have to win one. Even winning one, it goes back to their +3 better non-conference slate.
I'd bet LSU to win at least one of those more than I'd bet on South Carolina having to win another two conference games. And obviously I am not even considering Ole Miss in my scenario because they will beat SC at home.
