Will Texas/Texas A&M ever share that PUF Pie?

These two systems get preferential treatment from the state while other public institutions like TTU, Texas State, UH, North Texas etc get the scraps.

Nobody who posts on this board has any way of knowing the answer to that question.
And insinuating that the likes of a North Texas isn’t competitive with A&M or tu simply because of PUF distribution disparity is disingenuous at best, and laughable at worst.
It’s apples and [burnt] oranges. These two schools are on completely different levels in all categories…including research, alumni support, institution size, and just about every other variable … athletics being the very least.

That would be a no....
Sorry you have to deal with the self loathing aggy.

Comparing UH, which spans 667 acres in Houston’s Third Ward, to Texas A&M, located on 5,200 acres, including an additional 350-acre Research Park, has absolutely zero to do with the Permanent University Fund.

I see you're conveniently not talking about the TTU and Texas State systems.
I only lumped North Texas and Houston in for grins.

It didn’t help your argument, that’s for sure.
As for Tech (or TX State), again, who knows? Additional funding never negatively impacts institutions. But as I stated above, countless other variables are involved in your hypothetical scenario.

Why are you leaving Baylor out? You have an agenda against Baptists?

You just cherry picked the lowest hanging fruit..
Bottom Line: The State of Texas invests roughly 300% more per student/per year for the A&M system than it does for the Texas Tech system.
It only caters to two public schools. HEF and TUF aren't reeling in the slack.

They're a private school. PUF is for public schools

Then why include them to begin with? I addressed half of the schools in your scenario.
The other two are, admittedly more subjective.
But I feel like you’re arguing just to argue at this point.

And then there's the gap between Texas and Texas A&M, which isn't small.

Have degrees from both. The 7% vs 10% BS is just that. Texas A&M was more rigorous and put me through hell to get a degree.
You never meet anyone with degrees from both schools who chooses to identify as a longhorn.

It's pretty small compared to the gulf between the two and every other public system in the state.
Per student: The UT system has a roughly +30% spread per student over the TAMU system.

Playing Devils Advocate
Aggies will never rock the boat for even footing per student because they don't want to open the PUF "Pandora's Box".. because if they do, then the less fortunate systems will suddenly have more lobbying power to be included in the pie with new structuring.

I've personally known and worked with 3 PEs that had degrees from both Texas and aggy. All 3 identified as Longhorns.
Additional information if anyone cares outside of Texas. The two school systems cover many institutions in Texas. FatSexy is unnecessarily adding gas to an already roaring fire. He knows the answer to the title question.
