Owens, 45, spent the past three seasons at Louisville as the Cardinals’ offensive line coach. But he has past experience coaching tight ends and played the position at both the college and NFL levels. Owens led the tight end rooms at three different colleges — UAB (2012, 2014), South Alabama (2015) and Louisville (2018) — and now he will coach Alabama’s tight ends.

Owens run game was VERY effective at Louisville. Their leading rusher averaged 8 ypc and the 2nd leading receiver averaged 7 ypc.

They were very effective when they upset Miami this past season.

Well. This seems like a great hire. I love the moves we're making on the offensive side of the ball.

Some votes would down vote a national championship thread. Odd but true.

Sounds like a good hire. I know the O line has been subpar but all around blocking (TEs, WRs, even RBs) has been inconsistent at best. Hopefully, this guy will get our TEs more consistent too.
