I think with our SOS, 18-19 will do it.

Yesterday we out rebounded them, and we had less turnovers.

They shot better than we did.

Go 50%. We r a lock at 18 and probably make it at 17. Got an easier schedule but some of the ‘easier’ games r on the road. Gonna be tough.

Easier games are LSU, Ole Miss, OU, Miss State then hopefully beat a one of Vandy, UK or bama.

A lot depends on who you beat and who you lose to. So there is no number of wins at this point.

Just the ones that we are supposed to win.

The SOS that we have played helps with the committee.

Essentially going .500 in conference play isn't going to kill our chances.

Playing with no intensity.

If we had lost to Florida - this board would’ve discussing who our next coach will be.

But I suspect by the end of the season everyone will see what’s evident. SP deserved the job but he is not going to succeed. I hope we don’t drag it out for 4 years. Have the confidence to give him one more year and then cut the cord.

I don’t think we make the NCAA tourney this year anyway.

Nah, we get in with 19 wins. But a loss tonight might make Kentucky a must win. And all other games besides Bama become must wins.

Depends on the weight of the Alabama loss; there might be an unusual bit of residual blow back left. Especially if Nate keeps flapping his jaws in anguished vehemence.

I think Auburn needs to get 4 more in the regular season and probably one in Nashville.

At this point, we aren't playing well enough to win all of @State, vs Ole Miss, @OU, and vs LSU.

Beating Arkansas, Kentucky, or Bama would be stealing one, with Kentucky at home being the most likely upset.

Being 9th or 10th in the league means you open the SEC tourney against 15 or 16.

I think 4. Five to be sure.

At this point, Auburn’s resume is almost a lock. The only thing that can derail it is a loss or two to a bad team.

Beating Ole Miss and LSU at home is mandatory.

Beating Mississippi State and Oklahoma on the road is also strongly advised.

Do that, and we enter the SEC Tournament likely as one of the last 4-6 teams in the field, even if we were to lose to Bama, Arkansas, and Kentucky. We’d probably need to get one more win in Nashville to feel completely safe.

Right now, Auburn had 5 wins against the projected Field of at-large teams with zero losses outside the projected field. That’s strong.

This can be really good if you win… pad our W/L record with another Quad 2 or 3 win.

Or it can be REALLY bad if you slip up and lose to someone like South Carolina. That can be detrimental to your resume.

Auburn just needs to win 5 games to lock it up. Four would probably be enough but let’s not make us sweat it out.

At some point, we would need 3 or maybe even 4 more quad 1 wins.

Looking like NIT.
