I mean we’re hanging our hat on playing Florida next weekend for 1st place in the SEC.
But beating Tennessee twice in the season is a nice carrot I guess.

It would have been big vs anyone. The 1996 team was there, the debut of the Nike denim uniforms and a 14 point second half comeback. But it being Tennessee makes it even better. I don’t care what the records are, a rival game is intense and sure feels good when you win. And Ament is an amazing freshman. That guy is a pro.

To me the big issue with Tennessee is they are too reliant on Ament. Hes a lottery pick and great player, but you could tell that last shot was hit to take and him being tired and the good D and he took a very bad shot with 14 seconds left on the clock.
Saw his interview after the game and he was very complimentary of Kentuckys effort and win, and said it was the loudest crowd he's ever heard.
He also placed the loss on his shoulders and said he let his teammates down. If Barnes hears that, I hope he reminds him they wouldn't be as good as they are without him.

Congrats on the win. But it is true that this is one of Barnes weakest teams. Unfortunately, first or second round exit this year for the vols.

Gonna be honest, Barnes can't be that far away from retirement so those aren't the craziest takes. I've seen Rupps Rafters explode after not winning by enough much less blowing a double digit lead
