Sure, and I'm sure Frank was doing the same at LSU.
But both of those instances are a bit different than a head coach texting a player that isn't in the portal.
Ole Miss may be saved by the NCAA being relatively feckless though.

Ferrelli was NOT in the portal when Pete started sending him pictures from his personal cell phone while in class at Clemson.
