Possibly going to be the OL coach hire.
Wiki Bio

Jalen Klemm, Klemm's son, was an OL for DeBoer at Washington in 2023. Adrian Klemm and Courtney Morgan are also friends......Deboer keeping it all in the family. Not surprising.

He sure doesn’t seem to stay anywhere more than a year or two which is a bit of a red flag to me.

Better hope for this guy to be paired with a more experienced and successful OL coach. This guy's resume has the smell of "has good connections and everyone loves em but he can't coach a lick" all over it.

I dont love the hire, he really didnt do great with the Pats, but they also gave him zero talent to work with. The Oregon results are encouraging. 2800 rushing yards.

I realize there is still something to be said for a guy's ability to recruit. But I think the fact hes known as a great recruiter shouldnt excite us. A) we just saw that talent doesnt mean shite without good coaching b) recruiting is just a numbers game now. building a connection and making a player feel comfortable is only 10% of recruiting. Those skills are nearly meaningless.

Been doing some research Diego on boards from all the places he’s been. The consensus is that his biggest value is recruiting, he’s apparently very good at that. And the talk was that the reason he cut and ran from Pittsburgh was he had serious philosophical differences with Matt Canada the OC’s scheme as far as OL play and he got out ahead of being a sacrificial lamb. He was happy at Oregon and Oregon was happy with him but because of his history with the Patriots (he was Belichick’s first draft choice and got three Super Bowl rings) he interviewed for the OC job there but agreed to be OL coach when BOB got the job. He left NE or was asked to leave because he was a Belichick guy and the team wanted to close the door on that era.

Yes sir. It's possible he is only one of the hires in the OL department.

He also coached OL and run game coordinator for UCLA when they were pumping out 1300-1800 rushing yard backs under Mora

Yeah, everything I see is positive or his early exit is qualified by something else. It is still a bit of flag on the resume.

Joe is probably in a nursing home. He was an older coach already when he was around here.

The guy has done well and he recruits well. Some of our fan base will just bitch and complain about anything. NOTHING is ever good enough.

I never, EVER in a million years thought I would agree with Y Star about anything but he’s correct here.

Believe me when Coach Donahue tells you that you don't have the talent to play at Bama he doesn't use many words.
