Speaking of defense, I was at that Peach Bowl in 2019. 63 against the Sooners and could have been 100.

They never trailed because they had a nearly unstoppable offense. With a just “pretty good” offense they would have lost at least 3 games.

Wasn’t it 49-7 at halftime against NFL Super Bowl winner Jalen Hurts and Oklahoma? That seems like pretty good defense to me.
