Look, it’s clear the kid doesn’t want to play for OM and it’s kinda Bush league to hold him hostage… no one can fault him for wanting to join up with his old coach. I don’t think this is the flex OM thinks this is and could end up back firing. Just my .2 cents.

He’s got a weird name.
That’s all I got.

Do we not have a recruiting board anymore?

He signed a contract. What is so complicated? Wire the buyout money and you’re good to go!
Edit: that victimization like he’s being held hostage is peak LSHou and par for the course so I get it. Garbage in, garbage out.

From all accounts these contracts were signed under duress.

LOL what did they hold a gun to his head? Look it’s fun as an LSU fan that all your players are belonging to us, but if you take a step back and look at it as a fan of college football as a whole, this can’t continue.

Oh I definitely hope it continues

Apparently lsu is willing to pay the buyout and Ole Miss still won’t release him

Well he is from Nigeria so I wouldn’t expect his name to be Joe Smith or something

You have to do what’s best for the young men putting their body on the line playing the game… you have to let him play where he wants to play.

We loved college football because it was about the team, not the individual. It was one of the last great institutions in this country, and look how money has poisoned it. There’s a reason you don’t give 18-22 year olds hundreds of thousands to millions.

It would be cool if it was.

Is he a prince? Because I paid for him to get here safely and I'm still waiting for the money I was promised.

I’m pretty sure they can’t legally refuse to file the paperwork. If there is actually a buyout in what was signed then this is exactly what it’s for.

Tremendous, yet typical mental gymnastics from Col reb

The minute the buyout is paid is the minute Ole Miss will release him. He hasn't been released because the buyout hasn't been paid. This isnt a complicated situation

victimization
You mean like telling a kid to "frick you" or making up stories about your former coaches daughter or stories about his dog, or claiming tampering, or crying over LSU assistant coaches having to go back and forth between Oxford and BR.
Read the room, Sparky.

Who’s paying the buyout then?
