Now that the portal is closed, we dont have to worry about a jinx. A lot of players have come and gone, and plenty of questions remain. But who is the cream of the crop?

I dont think the answer is obvious. But lets look at some of our options.

Bray Hubbard: All SEC honors, lots of production and experience.
Zabien Brown: big time playmaker, 1st round talent kind of guy.

Looking at the offense.....sigh. I dont even know who goes up for consideration. We have very few returning starters. Brooks and Williams and that's about it. Based of last year, its gotta be Brooks.

Am I missing somebody?

Who do yall think is our #1 guy?

I'm old enough to remember when Bama football fans didn't care about who the best player was and just cared about if our team is the best team.

Example: I still don't care about Heisman trophy winners beyond having those trophy winners took away a talking point from other schools in recruiting.

I'm gonna say Dijon Lee. I also think he's our best option at punt returner going forward.

The kid is a freak of nature, he made a lot of huge plays as a true freshman. Inevitable first round pick.

Probably him and ZB are the most surefire first round locks on our current roster

I dont want to lose him as a defender because of a hit on punt return.

I would like to see Rico Scott at punt return.

Bray Hubbard. When he’s locked in and focused he’s a playmaking machine on defense. Reminds me of John Lynch, fearless bringing contact and plays with
a mean streak.

In terms of pro potential:

Offense - Lotzier Brooks
Defense - Zabien Brown

I think Hubbard may be the most impactful defender because of his position in the scheme.

Crowell. He was the best RB we had the day he stepped on campus.

Hubbard could be an all time great if he could get out of his own way and go back to fundamental defensive techniques.

Brooks would be if we had someone that could consistently get him the ball in space (the OC is included in that "someone:)

Bray seems like a guy that if you made up a game with crazy rules that benefit you, he'd still find a way to beat you at it.
