NIL started in June of 2021. This is how I would rank the programs based on performance during this time. This is not a futurecast and is only based on performance from 2021-2025.

1. Georgia 65-6 | 4 CFP Appearances | 4 CFP Wins | 2 CFP Titles
2. Alabama 56-14 | 3 CFP App. | 2 CFP Wins
3t. Ole Miss 52-15 | 1 CFP App. | 2 CFP Wins
3t. Texas 48-20 | 2 CFP App. | 2 CFP Wins
5. Tennessee 45-20 | 1 CFP App.
6. Oklahoma 43-22 | 1 CFP App.
7. Texas A&M 39-24 | 1 CFP App.
8. LSU 42-24
9. Missouri 41-24
10t. Kentucky 33-30
10t. S. Carolina 33-30
12t. Arkansas 29-34
12t. Florida 29-34
14. MSU 28-34
15. Auburn 27-35
16. Vanderbilt 26-36

Let's compare the B1G

Ohio St has 5 CFPs and 1 title
Michigan has 4 CFPs and 1 title
Oregon has 3 CFPs
Penn State has 2 CFPs
Indiana has 2 CFPs
Iowa has 1 CFP
USC has 1 CFP
Washington has 1 CFP

So for playoff appearances, the B1G has kicked our arse. But for overall conference record, the B1G has some really had teams.

The SEC has 5 teams that have < .500 win percentage and 0 of them have < .400 win percentage.
The B1G has 7 teams that have < .500 win percentage but 3 of these have < .400 win percentage.

Pretty good list. Although I’d rank some teams with relevant years above if their winning percentage is close enough. Vandy is an example that I think should move up slightly because their best year feels more relevant than a couple above them.

Yeah, there's always some exceptions but I chose to look at it from an overall perspective. If we look at just 2024 & 2025, Vandy moves up the list for sure.

So I guess you didn't read the OP.

This is only during the NIL period from 2021-2025.

Honestly, it's kind of the wild west still, but I'm sure I would feel different if we didn't just go through a potato famine and deep freeze. I think there should be some rules as far as the transfer portal goes. These are employees now, and like the real world, there should be rules and consequences.

It’s so impressive what cignetti has done with IU but I still expect them to fall off like Michigan did when they lost all their 24 year old Covid year guys
