LSU's 2026 Class - Not That Great

After all the threads from LSU fans about their class, I finally had a look at the rankings.
And in the only rankings that matter (combined HS plus portal), LSU has a respectable but not stellar 8th ranked class, nestled between Alabama at 7 and Tennessee at 9.
But even that ranking is suspect, considering their average star ranking puts them at 11th. They have ten more recruits than Alabama and five more than Georgia and Tennessee.
So, in actuality not even a top ten class.
So...yeah, nice class, LSU fans. It should fill some positions of need. But not the best class out there, not by a long shot. Not even the best in the SEC. In reality, it is about the 6th best in the SEC.

Well, they aren't my rankings. It's 247.
To be honest, I was surprised to see them so low. I saw a thread earlier that Lane was 'lapping' everyone in the SEC, so I wanted to see for myself. I just assumed they had a number one class, or close to it.

Bro, Kiffin was on the job for like a week before HS signing period…he saved a good class within those few days
(Including the #1 recruit in nation)

It seems you’re making the case that the kid was only at LSU because of BK.

Take a real close look at that HS recruiting star rating, highest one there is besides Oregon. We only took 15 recruits but pound for pound it was better than any other SEC haul. And this transfer class? Don't even get me started. And we aren't even done yet! But, yeah go ahead and tell yourself whatever makes you sleep better at night

It's early, but semantics. So you're telling me you're giving credit to Lane Kiffin for Lamar Brown going to LSU, despite committing 4 months prior to Kelly being fired while you clowns were full steam on the Nussbus 4 heisman!!111/LSU going to the ship 2025 campaign?
