They would've run away with the league had Mateer not gotten injured.

We're they the favorite before Mateer's injury or not?

Remember that time when the refs had to step in and save Mateer from losing to Hugh Freeze?

But, of course, that wasn't the question.

Still, unlike the LSU quarterback(s), Mateer did lead his team to the CFPs. And the 2026 Sooners, with Mateer at the helm, are likely to be one of the favorites to win the SEC title next season.

An injury didn't make Mateer throw into triple coverage on the regular.

OU barely beat a team with an interim coach and an incompetent backup QB with the CFP on the line, at home, after Mateer threw 3 INTs

Again, Mateer is arse.

OU will lose at least 5 games in 2026.

Didn’t LSU already win it next year?

Mateer had the #34 ranked QBR in 2024 and was #50 in 2025

You’re trying though, I’ll give you that

Mateer and Venables both said he was 100% in the playoffs and looked like arse and OU fans are still blaming the finger.

he was a Heisman favorite against dog shite teams and your best win all year was against a 4 loss team.
