According to a source close to Simpson, Miami sent the Alabama quarterback an offer to be the highest-paid player in college football at $6.5 million. The Hurricanes' official offer started at $4 million and quickly ballooned to $5 million within minutes before reaching the current offer. Tennessee and Ole Miss, according to the source, offered Simpson $4 million. In 2025, Simpson's base salary at Alabama was $400,000, according to a source close to Simpson. It doubled to $800,000 with incentives.

Goddamn.

Tbh… he is not worth that, but he’s worth a lot. He had a great year considering it was his first year as a starting QB. He was tops in the SEC in passing TD, passing yards, etc.. even with a shitty run game. It’s hard to throw the ball consistently when they know you’re throwing almost every time.

I think whoever gets him, will get a good tough football player, and a great kid.

I think he is worth more than that dink Arch. I’m thinking it must have been one of LSU, Oregon, or Miami

I didn't watch a ton of Alabama but I watched Ty Simpson make UGA's defense (in the first matchup) look like fools.

He’s a first round pick. He ain’t staying.
If Dante Moore stays at Oregon, he definitely ain’t staying in college.

Would make absolutely no sense for them to pay their two backups big money plus Ty.

Lane offered 3.5 - 4 Million range. How would lsu fans feel about Simpson leading them in 2026?
