People over 60 can't remember things past 6 years

I just read a study in the AAAS Science Journal in which over 500 elderly participants, in Norway, were tested for memory retention.

The surprising results were that individuals who were 60 years of age or older had absolutely no ability to remember anything at all past a time-frame of 6 years.

This means that almost 100% of LSU posters on this board can no longer even remember the best season of football on Planet Earth that LSU had in 2019.

How sad is that?

Not worried, all the bama fans will remind us when they do their comparisons.

Your posting style indicates you are clearly an old person.

Hey asshat. I'm in my late 70s and I have crystal clear memory. I remember how Bama had an absolutely shitty record from 2000 until 2008 and won a total of 1 game vs LSU in that stretch.
I remember Mike Dubose, Dennis Fifthchoicione (after Price's hookergate), and Mike Shula.

Now that is sad.

I don't think so. I work with a man from New Iberia, Lousiana, who is 65. He is the janitor and loves LSU football. His nickname is 'Lil Do-Do.

'Lil Do-Do can remember the 2020 LSU NC game, but not the 2019 season. Now I know he remembers the actual NC game because it was in Jan. of 2020.

But, all the games in 2019, he has no recollection of at all. We always say "you're crazy 'Lil Do-Do, you are crazy".

Now I know it's just part of growing older and 'Lil Do-Do may not be crazy after all.

That's great. You likely are not over 60 years old though.

LSU has done a number on the psyche of Alabama posters.

This is near-peak obsession with near zero self awareness.

Are you sure?

So do 59 year Olds remember past 6 years ago and on their 60th birthday forget it all? How does that work?

I'm no scientist; I don't know exactly. I'm just going off the results of the study. I do know that 'Lil Do-Do doesn't remember anything past 6 years, so that is a pretty good indicator that the study is on to something.

Whoa, whoa, I did not mean to get the Ancient Greybeard Brigade of SEC Rant angry at me. Every time a new poster makes a post, it's got to be someone else according to the Elderly Eunuchs Of SEC Rant. It's just like everything else when you old frickers get old; it's a conspiracy.

I guess I'm lucky that none of the old-time enforcers here will likely even remember this conversation by tomorrow.
