Coach Cignetti-

"Sometimes you know they are ready to play, and sometimes especially after winning- support staff, coaches, players, trainers, etc. are all relaxed and happy with themselves and I've got to make sure they are ready to play the next game... my job is to make sure they all have the right mindset and they are ready to play, and it's not always fun (to demand excellence) ... but you gotta do what you gotta do (to win at a high level)

You see snowflakes... tough coaches that demand and teach excellence will never go away. There may be fewer of them, but the really successful ones will carry on and they will whip the shite out of the Kayla DeBoers of the world.

Tough, gritty men that know what it takes to be champions will never totally disappear. It's passed down from father to son, and from coaches to future coaches. (Saban = Cig)

I continue to be in total dismay that Byrne would go out and hire the Anti-Saban.

Kaylas first week he said something like "coaches are gonna get to go home at a decent hour and spend time with their families." lol

He's soft folks, and his football team is soft.

Alabama had -7 yards rushing vs Georgia. Negative 7

Alabama if you remove Daniel Hills ONE explosive play of 30 yards Bama had -2 yards vs Oklahoma

Alabama had 23 yards rushing vs Indiana

So... minus Daniel Hills one explosive 30 yard run Alabama had 14 yards rushing in the last 12 quarters of football.

Simple math will tell you that's less than 2 yards rushing per quarter in the last three games of the year.

You act like this team represents you or something. They don't. You are still just you at the end of the day.

Coaches can only get away with what Cig is saying here if they have donors willing to out pay everyone.

He won't be able to sustain

Why is it that you think people on this board define themselves by Alabama football’s individual game results as opposed to being invested in college football and being fans of Alabama? Are you sure that people don’t just like Alabama football and want to see them do better based on their potential?

You missed, or conveniently ignored, the other interview with Cignetti where he said he and his staff start work at 7:30 every morning and he doesn’t insist they stay at it until the wee hours, he tells people to go home when they’re finished.

There are some people here that it’s just pointless to talk to, they’re either trolls or they’re the Alabama fans other fan bases caricature.

People want a clone of Nick Saban, whether it’s Cignetti or someone else. It’s become a cult of personality.

I hope you're not aiming that at me.

Im ready to discuss any ideas you have about rushing for less than 2 yards a quarter for 12 quarters straight without it meaning this team is soft AF.

On 4th and 1 on the wrong side of the fifty this idiot is running gadget plays because he knows his team is too soft to line up and get a yard with their season on the line.

Man, maze played for cig when cig wasn't in a position to run shite. Literally an assistant or something. Was also like 15 years ago. GTFO with that shite. Cig in charge now... does he sound soft to you ? Get real

No, people want a coach that knows the same things win that always won.

Until we get better EXPERIENCED players, it won’t matter who our coach is. Congratulations to Cig for figuring out how to field a team of 5th and 6th year players.

ETA: They have physically overwhelmed every team in the post season, including Ohio State.

Would definitely like to know what they are doing in Strength & Conditioning. Ballou came from Indiana and hasn’t gotten near the results since 2020 season.

I don’t want to give the national championship trophies back but I guess it’s going to take a generation of fans dying out before this program moves on from Nick Saban. If the expectation is that his process will be hovering over everything connected with Alabama football forevermore, it’s going to destroy the program.

How about we do the same thing as with your fellow traveler on here who’s name I’m not going to mention because I told him I wouldn’t, you ignore my posts and I will ignore yours.

He will have the $$$$ as long as Mark Cuban and a couple other billionaires who want to remain in the background have $$$$.

IU also has the largest living alumni base of any US university, so $$$$ from there as well because they are hungry for success.

What will be really impressive is if he can keep fielding teams full of 23 year olds playing against younger teams. And how many assistants that leave his program try to take “The Blueprint” (aka The Process) with them.

Cig was up big late in the game and was still bitching at our autistic SEC referees to call holding on Oregon. Does that sound like a coach that is soft? He is an exact duplicate of Saban when he preaches about playing every play for 60 minutes to a standard. We ought to fire our wuss of a coach tomorrow and hand Cig a blank check to come to Tuscaloosa
