Saban had to leave Michigan State to win a championship. Kiffin had to leave Ole Miss to win a championship.

Saban wasn't on the playoffs when he bailed.

Kiffin didn't have to walk out on his team. Period. He claimed he couldn't win at the highest level with them, but they got to the semis without him and very nearly got to the finals without him. None of his players are following him. That should tell you something. He is not going win a championship at LSU. He'll be gone in three years after his enormous buyout is through protecting him from Brian Kelly-type seasons. As Al Davis said when he fired Kiffin as Raiders' HC: "He's a con man and a liar." He hasn't changed since then.

Today, at this point in time ole Miss is a lot closer to lsu than to miss state. I would still never expect a Miss state coach to leave for ole Miss because it may be a better opportunity.

It just shows that college football is following the NFL into becoming a completely quarterback centric game.

Having a great quarterback doesn’t guarantee you will win a national championship. But having an average or bad QB guarantees you won’t.

And one school, Georgia, had 11 players arrested in the last three years. What is not Miami, Indiana, and LSU, for $500, please.

Ask yourself in all the years you have followed college football if you thought OM was going to possibly win a championship at the beginning of the year? Now do the same for LSU. Nutshell, that’s why Lane is in BR. The caveat is CFB has changed with no rules NIL that’s why the SEC is no longer dominant, the big ten has more $.

Clearly kickass record to match. Perhaps we are seeing “production” versus “potential” which is football roster building . Only now it’s measured in dollars spent.
