Is it really that good of a GM and does Lane rely on him a lot?

There once was a lad from Greenrock
Who worked mixing sand in a dyeblock
Hot magma splattered
The workers all scattered
Except our lad now known
As Billy Glasscock

Did he not leave for LSU two years ago?

Your right. Either Lane or Glasscock decided to spend twice as much on offense over defense and most on WR and TE. We were a Safety and LB short.

I don’t know which one to blame it on.

I’m not arguing either way I have no idea about Glasscock and it sounds like it was just a legit question and open discussion. But blaming it on anyone finishing with one of your best seasons ever is pretty short sided.

When we spent 16 million on offense and 6 on defense with some big money spent on WR and TE that barely played when you had major holes at LB and S is a valid complaint. Looking at it from the outside and not understanding the details I get what you are saying. But us watching every week and following the last 12 months saw this play out.

Totally get that and could be a cause for concern going forward with a coaching staff that likes to focus only on offense. We do like where we’re at from defensive coordinator standpoint though so hopefully that just translates. Along with our ability to naturally get a pretty good amount of standout defensive guys that are homegrown as seen with our most recent recruiting class.

He’s really good at evaluating talent. The problem is Lane is going to use the majority of his budget on receivers and quarterbacks.

Only had him one year. This team is less talented from an NFL perspective than last year's, but obviously a final four finish was a better result.

We are actually loading up on defense with the class and the portal.

Our D line will be stout. We still need a big LB.
