You could also argue that Oregon 23-0 over Texas Tech was a blowout.

Why didn’t you list them?
I was illustrating that it happens to "power" teams too.

I didn’t watch the game but context is important too. I’ve seen a team go down 7 points late in the fourth have a dumb turnover like pick 6 then you’re down 14. And you get forced into one dimensional scenarios with no time left and end up losing by three scores. Game control factors into a blowout.

All okie teams in the 4 team era got blown tf out too

Oregon dominated that game. Tech could do nothing on offense.

Big ten champ Mich st also got absolutely decimated

Doesn't seem like a difficult thing to argue. If Bama's 17 point victory over Notre Dame is a blowout, Oregon's win over Texas Tech is also.

Also missing from OP:
Oregon over James Madison 51-34
Ole Miss over Tulane 41-10
This OP really just highlights that G5 teams get blown out by P4 teams that get blown out. If anything, this just further proves that adding G5 teams is a waste of time.
Oregon blew out both teams in their first two playoff games, one of which was a G5 team, just just to get blown out in round 3. That isn't an argument in favor of G5 teams.

Why didn’t you list 2019 when LSU blew out Georgia in the sec championship game then Oklahoma in the semis and Clemson in the finals?

The entire point of the OP went right over your head.

It actually makes the g5 inclusion even more ridiculous. If we struggle to get competitive matchups between top 10 power 4 teams, why in the world would we consider dipping further down for even weaker teams?

I also didn't list 2022 UGA blowing out LSU 50-30 in the SECCG. That has nothing to do with the point of the post.

20 point win & giving up over 500 yards of passing isn’t a blowout
Posted on 1/10/26 at 10:46 am to BigNastyTiger417
How many of those passing yards came in the 4th quarter against the third string.
Getting beaten by 20 points is a blowout.
However, it wasn't a playoff game and isn't pertinent to the discussion.

What's your post actually about??? Blowout wins or losses in the CFP? EITHER WAY, not listed 2019 LSU 63-28 over OU and then 42-25 beating of Dabo proves that you're a bumb.

Not all of them. It was 2 different QB’s. One threw for 300, one threw for 200.
No, it was not a blowout. It was an arse kicking.

You are an idiot if you can’t see the difference between a team that has the resume to be there (but gets blown out) than a team who doesn’t have the resume and gets blown out.
