We should just play him anyway. Tip of the hat to one of the greatest QBs we’ve ever had. Incredible run.

From what was said on the broadcast, it sounded like whatever group at the NCAA that makes these decisions wouldn't even be meeting until this coming Monday.

It’s better to frame this as Trinidad trying to get only his fourth year of actual playing, and only his second year in D1. He played in 8 games in 2023 followed by full seasons in ‘24 and ‘25. Saw action in only two games in ‘22 which qualifies for a “regular” redshirt.

NCAA granted Cam McCormick NINE seasons of eligibility (in six of which he actually played) all in D1.

So where does Trinidad’s case go from here?

I’ve heard talk about a court case and such. Is that expected to happen? Are we still trying to find a way? Or are we just accepting and moving on?

I think if we do sign DJ Lagway as well it means we either don't think the case is likely to go in our favor or Trinidad is ready for the NFL.

If we just stick with Deuce and no one else I think it means we are going all in on the lawsuit

How does the ncaa justify this?

Waivers are like enforcement with the NCAA. It's completely arbitrary the way they make decisions and could have nothing to do with established precedent.

Chambliss WILL sue. Even if he doesn't get extra year, Mars will argue for damages. He has $5m if he comes back and an uncertain future in the NFL.

The whole point of the lawsuit is to go over the head of the NCAA. If a court says let him play, not much the NCAA can do about it

Yep. I don’t think most people realize this is gonna let Chambliss play next season. Real court trumps the ncaas kangaroo court.
