If Lane was coaching the team, does Ole Miss beat Miamuh last night?

Genuine question I have.
True coaches don't play the game, but have a hand in game strategy and play calling.
Does Lane coaching make a difference in the outcome of last night's game?

Real answer, if he thought he could have he would have stayed at ole miss.

Lane being the coach would have allowed Golding to focus solely on the defense and not have to do double duty, so maybe so.
The media narrative that Lane doesn't matter to Ole Miss' success this year has been hilarious and also clearly negligent.

Who knows. He would have been far more aggressive on 4th down and would have gone for 7 rather than 3.
If we convert some of those and those drives end in 7 then maybe. If we get stoped then we would have lost by more and never had a chance in the 4th.

Maybe. Maybe not.
Only thing for sure is that Ole Miss would've attempted less field goals.

If he thought he was the difference maker in making Ole Miss a national title program, he would’ve stayed.

Maybe, maybe not. The lane would be feeling way more pressure to perform. When lane left it created an us against the world, let’s go all in with house money vibe.
Ole miss looked very loose throughout the playoffs. Think lane would have brought a lot more pressure to win tho.

Doubtful. Your kicker would sway his decision.

I’d really love to know where you’re seeing the media narrative that Lane didn’t matter. It’s been quite the opposite.

It didn't at any point this season while Lane was HC. He was aggressive as ever.
