Is Acuff the clear leader right now?
Whom else is even close? I have to be missing someong?

There were 4 SEC players on the mid-season Wooden award list.
Darius Acuff Jr. Arkansas
Nate Ament Tennessee
Thomas Haugh Florida
Labaron Philon Jr. Alabama
I would also put Keyshawn Hall and Josh Hubbard on the list, and I am probably missing a few.

Don’t sleep on little Tyler Tanner from Vandy. Kid is tearing it up this year.

With the talent y'all have this has to be utter misery for Kentucky. Not saying that to knock you guys, just that we've been there in the past and had that happen.
There is a big difference between "Welp, we suck but I didn't expect much" and "How the f*ck did we squander this?"

When A&M wins it all, Dominguez is Fuego. 47% 3pt shooter.

Josh Hubbard and it won’t be close.

Hubbard is averaging 34 ppg in SEC play. He won't keep up that pace, but he will be in the hunt for SEC Player of the Year, especially if State rights the ship as it appears that they have.
State is three missed shots from being 13-2 (2-0 SEC). Instead they are 10-5 (2-0 SEC). Snake bit in some close games in the non-conference slate.

Hubbard is the scoring leader so far, and 7th in the country at 22.5 ppg
Philon is second and 11th in the country at 21.5 ppg
Philon has done it against much more impressive competition though (Alabama's NET SOS is #1; Mississippi State's is 94th)
Acuff is 19.5 ppg against the #20 SOS.
Keyshawn Hall is at 20.9 against the #4 SOS.
Hall is also top 5 in rebounding in the SEC; none of the other 3 are in the top 25.
For Assists, Across is #2 in the SEC and Philon is #5. Hubbard is 12th.
For Steals, Philon is #15 and Hubbard is #21; none of the others make the top 25.
None of them are top 25 in blocks.
Based on stats, I would presume Philon and Hall, factoring in opponent strength as well as metrics, should be the leaders.
