Ole Miss portal narrative wrong

The narrative that Ole Miss replaced 18 of 22 starters in the portal is just wrong. It is true we only had four starters returning but 10 of our 22 starters were on the team last year. Six guys who were already on the team earned starting positions this year. The portal has helped us fill needs and build depth.

Lane never lost a recruit at ole miss. They could match any offer.

That NOT really how it works. How many full times starters LEFT the team? Just because some dudes on last year's team had SOME starts that doesn't make them a returning starter.

Kelly was throwing money at highly ranked players, but unable to evaluate and develop them. The Sorsby situation is why LSU hired Kiffin in microcosm.

Yep because the guys that actually did “find him” aren’t still in Oxford? You guys got like 10% of the football staff when Kiffin thought he was getting a whole lot more. Thus why that 2nd plane returned to BR empty.

Once again you got 1/2 of the guys that developed TC. In fact TC and Dart have attributed a lot of their development to a guy who would not piss on Kiffin if he was on fire and the rumor around Oxford is CWjr is not the biggest proponent of CLK anymore. He may be there next year but I wouldn’t bet he would be there long-term.

Trinidad was playing like this before he got here, Joe Judge found him and Kiffin had to be talked into bringing him in. But yea maybe someone will bring another diamond to kiffin

If it were up to Lane and Simmons didn't get hurt, Chambliss would be getting ready to start a career in insurance sales after sitting the bench on a 9-3 team, and no one outside of Gainesville would care one way or another what Lane Kiffin was tweeting about.
