I want an offensive overhaul

I just want to see a modern offense. I’m tired of the constant screens and run-heavy approach. Open things up with an explosive passing game where wide receivers and tight ends are actually featured and catching the ball consistently. Not only would that be far more exciting, it would also help attract higher-level receivers and quarterbacks.
We also need to lean into the transfer portal more and do a better job filling our weak spots. Relying on developing 90%+ of the roster from high school recruits and waiting years for them to mature within the culture just isn’t enough anymore. Indiana has shown that a portal-heavy roster can absolutely work.
College football isn’t what it used to be, and yeah, that’s frustrating—but you either adapt or get left behind.

NASA actually designs a charcoal ventilation system to deal with how farts are affected by gravity

I agree 100%
During that whole game my wife and I were wondering where our quick outs to TEs or RBs were to slow down their rush.

We were a missed FG (by us or them) or a near INT at the end or….
Kirby and the coaches got about as much as they possibly could out of this team this year.

Alabama has what you would consider a modern coach. They sit in shotgun all game and run mostly RPOs.
Indiana would be considered an old school approach with more traditional running style - similar to us.
Certainly means Bama beat that arse right?

I keep seeing/reading this everywhere. “Kirby’s youngest team”… with that being the obvious reasons for tonight’s failures, one would assume we return a lot and should be back next year? Or what’s it gonna be next year? I genuinely curious on what this roster will look like next year.

Given the portal, who knows.
It was an inexperienced team.

Kirby always says when he’s asked about Monken or Bobo that they run theb”Georgia Offense”. That’s fine. Obviously with the talent we had in 21 and 22 and Stetson’s strengths v Gunner’s you can do different things and the offense will look different. Fine. My problem is our offense has to have these damn 4 and 5 stars playing like it at every position to work. Ole Miss has really good skill talent but their O line isn’t great, yet they move the ball at will. That’s because their offense is diverse and doesn’t have to have all 5 of them absolutely dominate in order to work. It’s harder and harder these days to obtain the guys at every position we need for the “Georgia Offense” to work. Why not adjust/ adapt and see what happens?

In this era where you can no longer just out-talent everyone, Kirby is going to have to make one big adjustment. He is eventually going to need to play the QB with the highest ceiling, not the one with the highest floor.
I love Gunner. That dude is one tough SOB and his teammates love him, but we all saw last night that we had some clear limitations in the passing game when Ole Miss adjusted against our run game.
Simply knowing the playbook and not making mistakes isn't going to be good enough anymore. That doesn't work in the NFL, and that's how we need to think of it.

After listening to Kirby earlier this week sing the praises of Mike Bobo then we aren't going to have any overhaul. Same old shite. Look great on one series then play Bobo ball the next two. Bobo doesn't have it in him to make adjustments that Ole Miss came out with in the second half.
Sick to death of watching this crap week in and week out particularly after watching Oregon, Indiana, Texas and Ole Miss run an offense like it is supposed to be run.
