In case you were wondering, the last time Alabama lost by 35 points or more

Was 1998 under Dubose against Arkansas.

Kalen just needs to start clapping like a wind up monkey after every INT or opponent touchdown.

Another fun fact - Alabama has lost by 21 points or more only 7 times since 2000. 3 of those 7 have happened the last two seasons under Kalen Deboer.
He is a dead man walking as the Alabama coach.

Wish I was skilled at photoshop. Some smart baw needs to plaster deboers head on this.

But DuBose was 2-1 against Spurrier. He just needed more time.

To be fair, they don’t look drastically different. ChatGPT could probably take care of it.

That's obviously not great, but are we really going to pretend this Indiana team is comparable to 1998 Arkansas?

You are the man. I am dying. Lol

I think my stat above is more glaring than the 98 loss to Arkansas. 3 of 7 losses by 21+ since 2000 have happened the last 2 years under Deboer. That’s a big problem.

The loss to Florida State looks even worse now than it did at the time. They finished 3-9. DeBoer is completely in over his head.

To that point if you want to make it, we should not be 1998 Alabama either

Florida State finished 5-7

Whatever. They finished with a losing record and lost badly to a terrible Florida team in the finale who had an interim staff.

This game actually reminded me of the Nebraska Orange Bowl after the 1971 season (6-38). I was in the 3rd grade and was taking it hard. I left the den and went to the kitchen and was watching of all things, The Mary Tyler Moore Show. LOL
My dad came and got me and made me watch the whole game. He said we don’t walk out when things don’t go our way. It was brutal.

The sad thing is, as an Alabama fan and alumnus, I knew full well in my heart that we wouldn’t win today. I didn’t expect to see us get totally trampled and Indiana barely break a sweat doing it. I’m so embarrassed and disheartened right now. DeBoer is not built for this job and it’s clear that Byrne made a rush hire. Unfortunately, we aren’t moving on from him now. But if things don’t get straightened out in the program this offseason and we suffer more embarrassing losses in 2026, we will have no choice but to pull the plug.
