Just went back to see what a DeBoer offense looks like when it’s elite….a lot of it was just Penix throwing up tight contested throws and their WRs making great plays.

No easy catches and a lot of slow developing routes. I’m worried

They better hope Keelon Russell is him or they will be unemployed by October 2027.

We basically need a Bryce kind of QB to run the whole offense by himself

They'll find themselves out of a job before then more than likely.

We are dependent on having an nfl qb....sounds like dabo tbh.

I'm hoping Keelon is that NFL dude though. I agree that these cats don't run a sustainable program but I'll take a Chizik-esque natty if it is on offer.

Now go watch his last game at Washington Vs Michigan

They get MAULED in the trenches EXACTLY like every game we've been mauled in the trenches since he got here.

A) UM mauled everyone in the trenches that year, they had a near peak Saban defense
B) there’s a huge discrepancy in terms of the players you can recruit at UW vs Bama.

There’s holes for sure, but you guys are only focusing on the negatives.

He beat Kirby, twice, with Kirby having 2 weeks to prepare each time, and with Ty and Milroe as his QBs. Things aren’t nearly as dire as everyone is making it out to be. Tonight sucked, for sure, but there’s probably only 2 coaches in the SEC that I would take a swap if offered and I’d be hesitant on 1 of the 2.

Yeah because Texas had an elite defense, the windows are always going to be small in the playoffs.

Michigan quite literally beat Penn State with a loaded front seven by running it 30 straight times

And no, that’s not hyperbole

We haven’t exactly done much in recruiting OL/DL with CKD

Yup. I’m concerned with line play. Gotta get that worked out this off season.

My question is then how has he been successful everywhere then if he relies solely on extremely talented QB and wr winning one on one consistently?

I’m convinced they didn’t think Ty could throw deep due to injury issues because the UW offense had more vertical passing routes than any team in the nation that year.

So either they weren’t calling them due to whatever they saw in practice or Ty just wasn’t throwing them.

The inability of these coaches to scheme up any easy plays is crazy. I watch these games and every team has certain plays that are easy pitch and catch for decent yards. Every yard we get is a damn grind.
